The Florence Nightingale foundation run the Windrush Leadership programme which is aimed to nurses and midwives from the global majority background.  The programme is a 7 day course aimed to enhance leadership skills.

​Labour Ward Coordinator Programme
​The SHIP labour ward leadership module is a multidisciplinary course focused on senior clinicians within the birth environments. The 4 day module meets the Ockenden recommendation for labour ward coordinators training and is focused on effective leadership, communication and people, operational management and quality and safety. The framework offers a package of measures aimed at professionalising the maternity support worker role. This included the development of a national competency framework and defined roles.
