OASI repair study day
The next course is on Friday, 5th April, 2024.
please contact Catherine Johnston on [email protected]
Details for the course are as follows:
This one day course in Winchester comprises lectures on anatomy, physiology, incidence, risk factors, fundamentals of repair, medicolegal issues and birth following OASI. There is a long practical session covering the repair of OASI, with sufficient models for everyone to practise suturing (updated Sultan models have been purchased for this September's course). The course has been approved by the RCOG and attendance is sufficient to satisfy the curriculum's matrix requirements for third/fourth degree injuries. Certificates are provided for attendance and participation in appropriate repair technique.
Feedback from delegates is consistently positive, with recent scores of 4.9/5 on average for both content and delivery. Comments include "I really enjoyed all aspects of the day - it was suitable for all levels of knowledge and I feel that my knowledge has massively improved", "really great - interactive and engaging", and "it has really built my confidence in approaching perineal injuries and performing repairs" (OASI Repair Course, March 2022).
